A show for self-published authors and other creators who want a business, not a hobby. If you can teach my listeners something they can act on this week, I want to talk to you.

What the show is
KB's SelfPubEmpire is a practical podcast for creators, indie and self-published authors, mostly on Amazon KDP but also other platforms. Episodes go deep on the mechanics: launches, algorithms, pricing, reviews, email lists, courses, and the systems that turn writing into repeatable income.
Audience: beginner to intermediate self-published authors, side-hustle writers, and creators building businesses.

What makes a great guest
- You have done the thing, not just written about it.
- You can be specific. Numbers, timelines, and real examples beat frameworks.
- Your topic connects to an author's outcome: more readers, more revenue, less dependence on one platform.
- You are comfortable being contrarian if the standard advice is wrong. It's encouraged to take a stand on my show.

Topics I am actively looking for
- Selling direct and owning your reader relationship
- Email lists that actually convert to book sales
- Ads and paid traffic for books, with real economics
- Turning one book into courses, speaking, coaching, or licensed IP
- Audio, translations, and other underused formats
- Wide vs KU, pricing, and series strategy
- Systems, tooling, and AI that remove founder dependency

What I am not looking for
- Pitches for a product or service dressed as an episode
- General entrepreneurship with no author-specific application
- Guests who cannot name a single concrete result
- Anything already covered in the last 10 episodes

How it works
1. Apply below. I read every submission.
2. If it is a fit, I send a scheduling link and a short outline of the questions.
3. We record remotely, about 45 minutes, video and audio.
4. I edit, publish, and send you the episode link plus clips.

What I ask of every guest
One thing: share the episode with your own audience when it goes live. Email list, social, newsletter, your choice. I promote it on my side, and the episodes that reach people are the ones both of us push. If you are not willing to do that, this is not the right show for you.

Small print: No pay to play, and I do not pay guests. I keep final editorial control. I may decline or unpublish anything that turns into a sales pitch.
